The Concept.

Pure design, pure materials, pure hand craft. The Genesis 650 is a full electric boat for slow and cosy cruising on Swiss lakes - even in times of shallow water.

A minimalistic design with clear lines and sportive look makes this boot a unique eye catcher. Made of durable aluminium alloy with real wooden deck. All parts are made of stainless steel - polished and mainly hand made

A boat is like a smart phone: It makes you happy if it's easy to use, provides funny gadgets and has no maintenance. Therefore, simplicity and usability is key.

Maximum of space for sitting, lying, relaxing. No wasted space, no frills, no ugly boat seats, no plastic clutter

The Plan.

The boat is planned as single project built by the designer itself. Many parts like the speed handle, front shield, ornaments, speaker covers etc. are custom built parts.

The Construction.

2026-08-05 The building of the temporary trailer has begun. The trailer is made of 40 x 100 x 3 mm steel.

2026-08-08 The old 14" steel car wheels perfectly fits the holders. The trailer is ready for the next step.

2026-08-13 The trailer is ready! I'm so happy that everything went as planned and that all parts are fully even. In a few weeks the aluminium will arrive...

2026-09-09 The aluminium sheets arrived! We carried 76 sheets and 8 pipes, totally around 600kg aluminum Almg3. The quality and laser cut looks great. Thanks a lot to the volunteers and MAK Metall from Littau Lucerne for the timely and direct delivery!

2026-09-16 Trying to find the nicest stiches and doing some sewing training for the final cushions. My wife decided for the best color. Finally, the mobile beverage holders are finished. I'm quite proud of them, as my first leather sewing.

2026-09-19 The first sheets are put together. They perfectly fit as planned. I am now exercising the perfect weld for them.

2026-09-26 Many parts are already roughly welded together. The boat is growing quickly and shape looks like boat. Soon I can weld the sides and then start the final welds.
